Hot in the City.........

In the words of Billy Idol.....it certainly been Hot Hot Hot in the City today! So hot that I infact got the fan out in the shop...which in Kent has been unheard of so far this summer. This is not the exact speciman (actually it is a "Knobally Bobally" consumed at my friend Caroline's house about a week ago) but one lovely person also working in this heat bought me an icecream as a treat....in the heat! So thank you...you know who you are! So icecream factories... on a day like today.......I salute you!!!

Glasses of Sun....

Ah the sun is still shining in fair old Kent and I thought I'd let you all know that I have a fab new range of one off sunglasses in store now. As many of us now know " the 80's are back" in a big way and the ray ban style is totally the look to be seen in. For some of us older girlies the big bug eyes are definately still the go......and great to hide under...just think Jackie O. So if your little fluttering eyes are in need of some shade......grab some in store now!

Nostalgia

Some of you may know that I often help my mates Claire and Hamish at their pub called the Three Mariners in Oare. It is a fabulous mix of great food, great wine and famous music. In fact Hamish is off touring in the US with Ringo Star from the Beatles as we speak....any how! Some times some of our fabulous visitors often suprise us with little gifts including offerings from their gardens. But I must say recently Collin and Pat made a grand enterance in their vintage car which to me has taken the cake so far! And well...I guess I just wanted to share this little piece of nostalgia with you!

The seaside

Ahh bless the weather we had on Monday. It has been lovely to have the warmth of the sun on my face in old Blighty finally. It was nice to have a day learning to switch the brain off for a change.

This is when I am lucky to live by the coast in England as it often reminds me of my home town of Sydney in Australia. I love the smell of the salty sea and the ramshackle trinkets that can be found along the shore.

Sometimes someone elses earlier handiwork can bring a smile to your face.

And sometimes a yummy treat can do the same thing!!!!!

 

And sometimes the company of someone who looks out for you can do it too!!!

Nigella's been intouch!

The first lady of food has been intouch with the first lady of Fashion! Ha Ha! And it is true we are very much alike. And Nigella the unassuming lady she is, was so very flattered that someone her junior was even remotely flattered to be compared to her. So she very kindly sent a personally autographed photo to me a little while back.......I am planning a little prezzie in return. A photo of me in a "Nigella" style parody. Its great to have a laugh!

A Heavy Heart.......

Sometimes in life you have a heavy heart. Sometimes things just don't make sense and you have to accept that you don't always get what you want......

Sometimes people will make decisions for you, regardless of what you might think. Life is baffling at times. If it were straight forward it would be boring, but none the less it throws us curve balls.

That's why today I had to remind myself of how amazing my own heart is....and of the beautiful ones I have around me in the shop everyday.

A heart is an amazing thing. We all have one and we all have our own ways of filling it. Most of us have from time to time walked this world with a broken one.......and with faith we open it up to be filled again.

Full hearts are easy to spot...........its the broken ones that are harder to truely see. We learn to keep them so well hidden. Oh... how a broken heart can be hidden under a smile.

We sometimes start opening our hearts to have slammed shut in our face...........leaving the feeling of a heavy heart. A heart with the feeling of being unfulfilled.

The love it creates never goes away.... and if we are lucky.....we know the ones we long for will see us and our full hearts clearly....or if not ......that in time...our heart will be happy one day.

.....and that is the day ...a heavy heart...becomes....a hopeful heart!!!

A Pirate's treasure

Well I am letting you in on my new stash of treasure that I pilaged from London on Monday.....the pirate queen that I am. This is only a small amount of the hoard of jewellery gems that I "shipped" back. If only I was a pirate....in the Caribbean. Now that's an idea!!!!

Sold out!

God what a whirlwind the last 24hrs has been, I have been visited by so many of you who have all walked out with happy smiley faces with your snapped up goodies. So fortunately for some of you and unfortunately for others of you who have missed out, the following styles have flown and are sold out!!

I've been buying!!!! New Stock

Well girlies the fruits of my labour are now in the shop. I went to London on a buying trip and have come back with loads of gorgeous goodies for you.

....and then there were 2. Well I did have 3 of these but the first one got sold within 20mins of putting it in the window!!!! But get in quick if you have your eyes on them....I have a size 10 and 12 left and as we all know they won't last long. As many of you have learnt it is only the quick and the dead around here!!!!!!!

I was also feeling a bit of a retro red vibe this week and these two dresses on the left are one off's. the wrap dress is a size 10 and the strapy one in the middle is a small -medium. The red lace trim over shirt dress on the right comes in medium and large and there is only one of each size available.

I just love this printed green vest top...it also comes in a red version which is equally lovely. I am really enjoying the new splash of colour in the shop at the moment!!!

Fallen Princess.....

Its funny how sometimes your personal and professional life becomes entanged with a similar theme....and today it is very true of that for me. Today I am definately a fallen princess......... in more ways than one. So maybe it was a good thing I bought these gorgeous tiara's when I was in London yesterday on a buying trip. I did.n't realise that I infact would need one today........that's the joy of my fantasy world !!!
