Well my lovelies, today we are joining in on the party that is happening over at Vanessa Valencia's blog...otherwise known as A Fanciful Twist to celebrate her 200th blog post. She is my little American alter ego.
I have even made some of her glitter balloons in tribute to her special day which adorn the front of the shop today. I love the way they catch wind and the light. So happy 200th post..Miss Nessy Ness!!!!
It is funny how you can live in an area for years and never seem to notice its wonderment and beauty. I am blessed to live close to the city of Canterbury with it's cathedral and universtiy. I have walked its back streets on my way to the boutiques and restaurants and never taken much notice of the true fairyland that I live in.
There is so much history in this town and I am sure the fairies and the elves live in the back alleys and canals. I imagined a time of coal fires and horse and buggies, the time of a parasol and a bustle.
I think a city always holds its secrets in its back streets and often its most beautiful artistic offerings. So I urge you if you are local or from further afield when in Kent visit Canterbury......and its hidden corners.

Hi girlies....having a wonderland day today and all i can think of is far off fairylands. Found this wonderful pendant online today and instantly fell in love. I woke this morning with a spring in my step ans started with my outfit of red vest with a layered navy and white fitted waistcoat. I then added a multitude of necklaces including my heart locket, big red kitsch heart, my diamote heart lock and key necklace, finishing with my beloved vintage button choker. I also donned my red and white ploka dot corsage brooch to top it all off.......damn I wish my camera wasn't out of batteries today otherwise I would have should you........well I must be off......cause I'm late I'm late I'm late for a very important date!!!!

Well as many of you girls may know I am a sucker for anything that has had a past life and still has that vintage faded glory about it for my shop displays. I found this baby in Squires Antiques in Faversham yesterday and just had to have her. She still works although alas I am still learning how she moves and shakes! I just had to decorate her with few trinkets to make her feel at home.

Ok for a while now I have had more than a few comparisons to the amazing Nigella Lawson. No being able to see it myself I thought it was more of a type..ie dark hair and curves. But when I took this recent pic I thought well maybe lets see? So when I came across of this pic of the fabulous lady herself I was suprised and thought.....yes! I am the Nigella of Fashion. Not identical of course but I see what they mean and what a nice compliment that is!
